Mentorship Program

P.E.A.C.E mentorship program is designed to build our student's relationships and provide services that improve their mental and moral characteristics. Lead Ambassadors will assist in conducting enrichment activities and/or facilitate conversations with students that incorporate the principles and core values of the program. 

P.E.A.C.E Mentorship program manages two components. Barbershop Talk for our young men and Determined Dolls for our young ladies on campus.  

What is the hiring process? 

Interested applicants must submit and complete an employment application. P.E.A.C.E is currently hiring men and women Lead Ambassadors to carry out mentoring sessions during the week. Interested applicants will join the Barbershop Talk program or the Determined Dolls program. 

What are some of the desired qualifications? 

Successful candidates will typically possess the following qualifications: 

• Able to facilitate workshops and engage with students
• Very knowledgeable (or preferably a member) of the community they wish to serve 
• Able to demonstrate a commitment to serving our students 
• Consistent track record for being reliable and on time
• Willing to travel to multiple campuses
• Must be able to pass P.E.A.C.E. Background Check  

Will I receive training if I am hired? 

All Lead Ambassadors will receive training before they begin working as well as ongoing support to promote a successful experience. We offer shadow training to see how sessions are executed.
